Ralph Maud (1928-2014) was a Canadian literary scholar and professor emeritus of English at Simon Fraser University. He was a world-renowned expert on the work of poets Dylan Thomas and Charles Olson, as well as an authority on the ethnographers of the Pacific Northwest. Maud was also known for his interest in Pacific Northwest Aboriginal culture and taught "Indian Oral Tradition." He was an iconoclastic professor and an eccentric pamphleteer. Maud also ran for the Green Party in the 1996 provincial election.
