Nicholas A. Christakis
Nicholas A. Christakis is a Greek-American sociologist and physician known for his research on social networks and the social, economic, biological, and evolutionary determinants of human welfare. He is the Sterling Professor of Social and Natural Science at Yale University, where he directs the Human Nature Lab and codirects the Yale Institute for Network Science. His work explores how human biology and health are affected by social interactions and networks, and vice versa. He has authored numerous academic articles and several books, including "Connected: The Surprising Power of Our Social Networks and How They Shape Our Lives" and "Blueprint: The Evolutionary Origins of a Good Society."
