Judy McFarlane
Judy McFarlane is a Vancouver-based writer, a graduate of UBC's MFA Creative Writing program, and a former lawyer. Her fiction and non-fiction stories have been published in Canadian literary journals and newspapers and broadcast on CBC radio. Her first book, 'Writing with Grace: A Journey Beyond Down Syndrome,' was shortlisted for the Edna Staebler Award for Creative Non-fiction in 2015. She has also written and produced several radio documentaries for CBC and worked as a writer-in-residence in schools. McFarlane's writing often explores themes of social justice, mental health, and disability awareness.
