Jaime Lowe

Jaime Lowe is an award-winning writer, photographer, and artist, known for her work on topics such as mental health, incarceration, and environmental issues. She is a frequent contributor to The New York Times Magazine and her work has appeared in numerous other national and international publications. Lowe is the author of "Mental: Lithium, Love, and Losing My Mind," a memoir about her experiences with bipolar disorder; "Digging for Dirt: The Life and Death of ODB," a biography of Ol' Dirty Bastard; and "Breathing Fire: Female Inmate Firefighters on the Front Lines of California's Wildfires." The latter was optioned for a feature film. Lowe has also contributed to "This American Life" and "Radiolab" and has been featured on NPR and WNYC. She earned a B.S. in Photojournalism from Boston University and an MFA in Writing from Sarah Lawrence College.
