Neepin Auger

Neepin Auger is a Cree artist, educator, mother, and vice-principal. Originally from the Bigstone Cree Nation in Northern Alberta, she has been painting for over two decades, studying under her father, the late Dr. Dale Auger, a renowned Indigenous artist and Western Showcase Hall of Fame member. Auger holds a Bachelor of Education from Mount Royal University and a Master of Education from the University of Calgary. She is the author and illustrator of the children's book series 'Discovering Animals,' 'Discovering Numbers,' 'Discovering People,' and 'Discovering Words.' Her work is known for its vibrant colors, Indigenous motifs, and cultural storytelling, often focusing on her Cree heritage. Her paintings have been exhibited at the Calgary Stampede and are part of the permanent collection at the BMO Centre in Calgary.
