Stuart Turton

Stuart Turton is an English author and journalist, born in 1980. He grew up in Widnes, England, and studied English and Philosophy at the University of Liverpool. After graduating, he worked as a teacher in Shanghai, then as a technology journalist in London, and later as a travel journalist in Dubai. He returned to London to write his first novel. Turton is known for his "high-concept" thrillers that blend mystery with elements of science fiction, fantasy, and historical fiction. His debut novel, "The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle," won the Costa Book Award for First Novel in 2018 and became an international bestseller. His subsequent novels, "The Devil and the Dark Water" and "The Last Murder at the End of the World," have also achieved bestseller status. His books have sold over one million copies in the US and UK.
