Robin Wiszowaty

Robin Wiszowaty is an author, motivational speaker, and community development worker who has dedicated her life to empowering communities in East and West Africa, South America, and Central America. Born and raised in Schaumburg, Illinois, she felt a pull towards a deeper meaning and connection from an early age. At 21, she moved to rural East Africa and was embraced by an indigenous Maasai family, learning their language and way of life. This experience shaped her approach to community development, emphasizing partnership, listening, and cultural respect. She has led transformational work in areas such as education, women's empowerment, food security, and healthcare. Wiszowaty is the best-selling author of "My Maasai Life: From Suburbia to Savannah," a memoir detailing her journey and insights into indigenous culture. She has also worked with WE Charity (formerly Free The Children) for over 17 years, holding leadership positions and implementing sustainable development projects.
