Allan Stratton
Allan Stratton is a Canadian playwright and novelist born in Stratford, Ontario, in 1951. He began his career as an actor, performing with the Stratford Festival and regional theaters. He transitioned to playwriting, with notable works like "Nurse Jane Goes to Hawaii" and "Rexy!," which won multiple awards. Stratton also headed the drama department at the Etobicoke School of the Arts before focusing on novels in 2000. His novels, particularly "Chanda's Secrets," have received international acclaim and awards, with "Chanda's Secrets" being adapted into an award-winning film. He has lived in various cities across Canada and internationally, and currently resides in Toronto with his husband.
