Peter Heller
Peter Heller is an American novelist and award-winning adventure writer, known for literary and suspenseful novels such as The Dog Stars, The Painter, Celine, The River, The Guide, The Last Ranger, and Burn. A longtime contributor to NPR and a former contributing editor at Outside, Men's Journal, and National Geographic Adventure, Heller draws on his experience as an outdoorsman and expedition kayaker in both his fiction and nonfiction. He holds an MFA in poetry and fiction from the Iowa Writers' Workshop and lives in Denver, Colorado.
