Susan Palwick

Susan Palwick (born in New York City) is an American writer of literary and speculative fiction, a poet, and a former English professor. Her novels include Flying in Place, The Necessary Beggar (winner of an ALA Alex Award), Shelter, and Mending the Moon; she has also published short-story collections such as The Fate of Mice and All Worlds Are Real. Palwick taught at the University of Nevada, Reno for many years, retired from academia to pursue a Master of Social Work and work in healthcare chaplaincy, and was inducted into the Nevada Writers Hall of Fame in 2023.
