Robert Bright was an American writer and illustrator of children's literature, known for his "Georgie" series featuring a friendly ghost. He wrote and illustrated over 20 books in his 40-year career. His work often featured themes of adventure, friendship, and whimsy, with lighthearted illustrations and narratives that charmed children on both sides of the Atlantic. Bright's belief was that "the imaginative child in the imaginative man is fortunately never far away."
