John Robbins

John Robbins is an American author, activist, and humanitarian known for his work popularizing the links among nutrition, environmentalism, and animal rights. He is the author of the million-copy bestseller "Diet for a New America" and founded the nonprofit organization EarthSave International. He also co-founded the Food Revolution Network with his son, Ocean Robbins. Robbins was the heir to the Baskin-Robbins ice cream empire but chose to leave the family business to pursue a life dedicated to promoting a compassionate and healthy way of life. His work has been featured in major media outlets and he has received numerous awards for his humanitarian efforts.
