Emma Walton Hamilton

Emma Walton Hamilton is a British-American author, editor, producer, and actress. She is also an instructor in the MFA in Creative Writing program at Stony Brook University, where she directs the Southampton Children's Literature Conference and the Young Artists and Writers Project (YAWP). Hamilton is the daughter of singer and actress Julie Andrews and set and costume designer Tony Walton. She co-founded the Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor, New York, and served as its Co-Artistic Director for 17 years. She is a Grammy Award-winning voice-over artist and has been nominated for two Emmy Awards for her work on the children's television program "Julie's Greenroom." Hamilton has co-authored over 35 books for children and adults with her mother, Julie Andrews, many of which have been New York Times bestsellers. She also authored the book "Raising Bookworms: Getting Kids Reading for Pleasure and Empowerment."
