Paul Hellweg

Paul Hellweg is a freelance writer, poet, and author. He served in Vietnam from May 1968 to April 1969, receiving decorations including two Bronze Stars, the Purple Heart, Presidential Unit Citation, Combat Infantry Badge, and the Republic of Vietnam's Cross of Gallantry. He is an assistant professor at California State University, Northridge, where he taught Adventure Recreation & Wilderness Literature. Hellweg is the author of numerous books, including "The Insomniac's Dictionary" and "Ode to a Drunken Muse." He established VietnamWarPoetry.com to foster understanding of the Vietnam War's impact.
