Ruth Hamilton
Ruth Hamilton was a bestselling English novelist from Bolton, Lancashire, known for her popular saga and regional fiction set in the north-west of England. Her books—which include Mulligan's Yard, The Reading Room, That Liverpool Girl and A Whisper to the Living—found a wide readership for their plot-driven, emotionally engaging stories and strong sense of place. She lived much of her life in Lancashire and Liverpool and died in 2016.
