Kim Edwards

Kim Edwards (born May 4, 1958) is an American author and educator best known for her bestselling novel The Memory Keeper's Daughter. She is also the author of the short-story collection The Secrets of a Fire King and the novel The Lake of Dreams. A graduate of Colgate University and the University of Iowa (Iowa Writers' Workshop), Edwards has received awards including the Whiting Award, the Nelson Algren Award, a National Magazine Award, and grants from the NEA. Her work has been published internationally and adapted for television.
