Pupul Jayakar (11 September 1915 – 29 March 1997) was an Indian cultural activist, writer and biographer known for her role in the revival and promotion of traditional Indian arts, handlooms and handicrafts. She founded and helped establish institutions such as the National Crafts Museum and INTACH, served as a cultural adviser to Indian prime ministers, and authored biographies of figures including Indira Gandhi and J. Krishnamurti.
