Steve Hamilton
Steve Hamilton is an American bestselling author best known for his Alex McKnight series and the Nick Mason novels. He won the Edgar and Shamus Awards for Best First Novel for A Cold Day in Paradise and later won the Edgar Award for Best Novel for The Lock Artist. Born and raised in the Detroit area, he attended the University of Michigan (winner of the Hopwood Award) and has worked in the IT industry while writing crime and thriller fiction. He lives in upstate New York with his family.
