Deborah Falaye is a Nigerian-Canadian author whose debut young adult novel, Blood Scion, draws on Yoruba mythology and her upbringing in Lagos. She writes fantasy featuring Black protagonists and themes of power, identity, and resistance. Falaye currently lives in Toronto.
