David Gilman
David Gilman is an English novelist and television screenwriter. Raised in Liverpool and educated in Wales, he worked in a wide variety of jobs — including firefighter, professional photographer and as a soldier in the Parachute Regiment’s Reconnaissance Platoon — before becoming a full-time writer in 1986. He is the author of the YA Danger Zone series (The Devil's Breath, Ice Claw, Blood Sun) and the historical Master of War novels, among other works. He has written extensively for television (including several years as a principal writer on A Touch of Frost) and lives in Devon, England.
