Charles E. Gannon (born March 17, 1960) is an American novelist and game designer best known for hard science fiction and military/space-opera works, including the Caine Riordan series. He has written standalone novels and tie-ins (Starfire, 1632/Ring of Fire, Black Tide Rising), won the Compton Crook Award for best first novel, and received multiple Nebula Award nominations.
