
Tony DiTerlizzi
Tony M. DiTerlizzi (born September 6, 1969) is an American author, illustrator and producer best known for co-creating The Spiderwick Chronicles with Holly Black and for his award-winning picture books such as his adaptation of The Spider and the Fly. He began his career as an artist for role-playing games and collectible card games (notably Planescape and Magic: The Gathering) before moving into children’s literature. DiTerlizzi is a #1 New York Times bestselling creator whose work has been adapted for film and television and who received a Caldecott Honor for The Spider and the Fly.
