Angie Thomas
Angie Thomas (born September 20, 1988) is an American author best known for her young-adult novels that address race, identity, and social justice. She rose to prominence with her debut novel The Hate U Give (2017), which became a #1 New York Times bestseller and was adapted as a major motion picture. Thomas holds a BFA in Creative Writing from Belhaven University, grew up in Jackson, Mississippi, and currently resides in Atlanta. Her other notable works include On the Come Up (2019), Concrete Rose (2021), and the middle-grade fantasy Nic Blake and the Remarkables (2023).
