Robin Sloan (born 1979) is an American novelist and writer whose work blends contemporary literary fiction with elements of technology and speculative imagination. He is best known for his debut novel Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore (2012). Sloan has also published Sourdough (2017) and Moonbound (2024), and previously worked in media and tech, including a stint at Twitter. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area and co-owns an olive oil brand, Fat Gold.
