Veera Hiranandani

Veera Hiranandani is an American author of children's and middle-grade fiction. Her work often explores identity, family, and historical events from South Asian and diasporic perspectives. Her novel The Night Diary received a Newbery Honor in 2019. She has an MFA in creative writing and has worked as an editor and as a teacher in writing programs.
