Roger Lea MacBride
Roger Lea MacBride (August 6, 1929 – March 5, 1995) was an American lawyer, author, television producer, and political activist. Designated heir by Rose Wilder Lane, he managed and expanded the Little House literary estate, edited and published previously unpublished Laura Ingalls Wilder material, authored additional Little House/Rose Wilder Lane novels, and co-created the television adaptation Little House on the Prairie. He was also active in politics—serving in the Vermont House of Representatives, casting a notable "faithless" Electoral College vote in 1972, and running as the Libertarian Party's presidential nominee in 1976.
