Naoko Takeuchi (born March 15, 1967) is a Japanese manga artist best known as the creator of Sailor Moon and Codename: Sailor V. A licensed pharmacist by education, she debuted in the mid-1980s and rose to international prominence in the 1990s when Sailor Moon became a major manga and anime phenomenon. Takeuchi has written and illustrated numerous manga, produced artbooks, and manages her properties through her studio Princess Naoko Planning (PNP). She is married to fellow manga artist Yoshihiro Togashi.
