David Nicholls
David Alan Nicholls (born 30 November 1966) is a British novelist and screenwriter. Trained initially as an actor, he moved into television writing before publishing novels. He is best known for One Day (2009), an international bestseller adapted for film (2011) and later screen adaptations. His novels frequently explore love, relationships and the passage of time. He has also written screen adaptations and original TV work and has received several honours including national book awards and honorary degrees.
