Celia Barker Lottridge is a Canadian children's writer and storyteller, born in Iowa City, Iowa, in 1936. She has lived in many places, including California, Kansas, New York City, Rhode Island, and Boston, before moving to Toronto in 1975. Lottridge worked as a children's librarian, a teacher-librarian, and a book buyer before focusing on writing. She is a co-founder of Storytelling Toronto and a former director of the Parent-Child Mother Goose Program. Her work often includes retellings of folktales and novels based on family stories. She has received numerous awards for her books.
