Terry Hayes
Terry Hayes (born 8 October 1951) is an English-born Australian journalist, screenwriter, film producer and novelist. He worked as a journalist and later as an in-house screenwriter for Kennedy Miller, contributing to films and television (including Dead Calm and Mad Max 2). Hayes published his debut novel I Am Pilgrim in 2013, which became a bestseller; he later published The Year of the Locust (2023) and co-wrote the tie-in/marketing novel Argylle (2024) under a pseudonymous collaboration. He lives in Switzerland.
