Laura Joffe Numeroff is an acclaimed American author and illustrator of children's books, best known for her popular 'If You Give...' series, which began with the 1985 bestseller 'If You Give a Mouse a Cookie'. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she attended the Pratt Institute, where she transitioned from fashion design to writing and illustrating children's literature.
