Gaétan Soucy
Gaétan Soucy (1958–2013) was a celebrated Canadian novelist and academic from Montreal. Known for his dark, baroque, and philosophically rich literary fiction, he authored four novels, including the internationally acclaimed 'La petite fille qui aimait trop les allumettes' (The Little Girl Who Was Too Fond of Matches). He studied physics, philosophy, and Japanese language and literature, and taught philosophy at the Cégep Édouard-Montpetit.
