Ronald Wright
Ronald Wright (born 1948 in London, England) is a Canadian writer of fiction and non-fiction whose work draws on archaeology, history, anthropology and travel. He is author of Stolen Continents, A Short History of Progress (the 2004 Massey Lectures), What Is America? and novels including A Scientific Romance and The Gold Eaters. His non-fiction explores the rise and fall of civilizations and environmental sustainability; his fiction often examines historical encounters and their consequences. He has lived in Ontario and on the Gulf Islands in British Columbia.
