Edward Bunker

Edward Heward Bunker was an American author of crime fiction, screenwriter, and actor. Born in Los Angeles, he spent much of his youth in foster homes and reform schools, eventually becoming the youngest inmate at San Quentin State Prison at age 17. His experiences with crime and incarceration heavily influenced his writing, which is noted for its raw, naturalistic portrayal of criminal life. He gained critical acclaim for novels such as 'No Beast So Fierce' and 'Animal Factory', and also had a notable career as an actor, appearing in films like 'Reservoir Dogs'.
