Pamela Mordecai

Pamela Mordecai is a Jamaican-born Canadian poet, novelist, short story writer, scholar, and anthologist. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, in 1942, she immigrated to Canada in 1994. She holds a PhD in English from the University of the West Indies and has had a distinguished career as an educator, editor, and writer. Her work often explores the Caribbean experience and frequently incorporates Jamaican Creole. She is the author of numerous books, including poetry collections, children's books, and the novel 'Red Jacket'.
