Christopher Isherwood

Christopher Isherwood was a British-American novelist, playwright, screenwriter, autobiographer, and diarist, best known for his novels about Berlin in the early 1930s. He was born in Cheshire, England, and later immigrated to the United States, becoming a naturalized citizen. Isherwood's work often explored themes of identity, sexuality, and societal change. He is also known for his engagement with Indian Vedanta philosophy. His notable works include "The Berlin Stories," "A Single Man," and "Christopher and His Kind." His writings served as the basis for the musical "Cabaret."
