Harry Louis Bernstein was a British-born American writer, known for his memoirs published in his nineties. His first book, 'The Invisible Wall: A Love Story That Broke Barriers,' published when he was 96, detailed his childhood in a Lancashire mill town, the anti-Semitism he faced, and his father's abuse. His subsequent books, 'The Dream' and 'The Golden Willow,' explored his family's move to America and his married life, respectively. Before becoming a celebrated author, Bernstein worked as a script reader for Columbia Pictures and as an editor for trade magazines.
