Zoraida Córdova is an Ecuadorian-American author of children's books and romance, best known for her Brooklyn Brujas series. She also writes romance as Zoey Castile. She was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, and immigrated to the United States at a young age. She grew up in Hollis, Queens, and developed a passion for literature, influenced by authors like Amelia Atwater Rhodes. Córdova attended Hunter College and the University of Montana. She has written for Disney, Marvel Comics, and Lucasfilm Press, and is the co-editor of the bestselling anthology Vampires Never Get Old. She is also the co-host of the podcast Deadline City.
