David Mark is an English novelist and journalist, known for his DS Aector McAvoy series of crime fiction books. He spent more than fifteen years as a journalist, including seven years as a crime reporter with the Yorkshire Post. His writing is heavily influenced by the court cases he covered, the police officers he encountered, the justice system, and the grief of those affected by tragedy. His debut novel, 'Dark Winter,' was a Richard & Judy Book Club pick in 2012 and became a Sunday Times bestseller. Mark's work has been translated into several languages, and his DS McAvoy series has been adapted for the stage.
