Yangzom Brauen is a Swiss-Tibetan actress, director, writer, and activist. Born in Switzerland to a Swiss ethnologist father and a Tibetan artist mother, she grew up with a deep connection to both her Swiss and Tibetan heritage. Brauen began her acting career in Swiss television and later made her Hollywood debut in "Aeon Flux." She is also known for her advocacy for the Tibetan people. Her memoir, "Across Many Mountains," details the stories of three generations of Tibetan women and became a bestseller in Germany and Switzerland. Brauen has also directed television shows and films.
