Hania Allen
Hania Allen was born in Liverpool, England, to Polish refugees. She pursued a career in education and information management, culminating in a senior management position at the University of St Andrews. Allen left her career to write full-time, inspired by a visit to a Swedish ice hotel. She is known for her crime novels, particularly the Von Valenti and Dania Gorska series. Allen's work often incorporates her Polish heritage and Scottish setting, and she has been praised for creating authentic characters and incorporating social commentary. She currently resides in a fishing village in Fife, Scotland.
