
Lionel Shriver
Lionel Shriver (born Margaret Ann Shriver) is an American novelist and journalist best known for We Need to Talk About Kevin, which won the Orange Prize for Fiction in 2005. She has published numerous novels and essays and has written for publications including The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, The Guardian and The Spectator. She has lived in the United States, Nairobi, Bangkok, Belfast, London and, more recently, Portugal. In 2024 she published the novel Mania and has continued to be an active writer and commentator.
