Cristina Morató
Cristina Morató is a Spanish journalist, reporter, writer, and television director. Born in Barcelona in 1961, she studied journalism and photography. She has traveled extensively, visiting over forty countries and focusing on cultural and anthropological reports, particularly in Latin America, Africa, and Asia. Morató is a founding member of the Spanish Geographical Society and a member of the Royal Geographical Society of London. She transitioned from television directing to writing books about historical female explorers and adventurers, aiming to bring their often-overlooked stories to light. Her work frequently explores the lives of unconventional and rebellious women.
