Leona Prince, Gabrielle Prince
Leona Prince and Gabrielle Prince are Indigenous authors from the Lake Babine Nation and Nak'azdli Whut'en, belonging to the Likh Tsa Mis Yu (Beaver) Clan. Leona is an award-winning educator and the Director of Instruction for Indigenous Education for School District 91 Nechako Lakes. Gabrielle is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and is a co-owner of Fireweed Canada Education Inc. They co-authored the bestselling picture book "Be a Good Ancestor," which is rooted in Indigenous teachings and encourages readers to consider their connection to the world and the impact of their actions on future generations. Their work celebrates Indigenous strength, identity, and community.
