David Bouchard
David Bouchard is a Canadian author, poet, and former high school principal. He is a Métis author who writes about Aboriginal issues, traditions, and cultures, as well as the environment and history. Bouchard is also a champion of literacy and a sought-after speaker on topics of reading, literacy, and Aboriginal well-being. He has written over 50 books in both English and French, often combining poetry, prose, and visual arts. He is a recipient of the Order of Canada and has received numerous other awards for his literary contributions.
