Gina Noordhof

Gina Noordhof is a Canadian author known for her children's books that celebrate Canadian culture and heritage. Her first book, "A Puffin Playing by the Sea - The Twelve Days of Christmas in Newfoundland and Labrador," was inspired by a phone call from her mother and a similar book from New York. The book was developed over a year, with illustrations by Derek Peddle, and has been well-received, with over 5,000 copies sold in its first year in Newfoundland and Labrador. It has also been recognized by the Department of Education for its educational value. Noordhof also operates a seasonal eatery called The Norseman in L'Anse aux Meadows and has experience with the Canadian Tourism Commission. She has also written other books in a series that highlight different Canadian provinces, such as "Dinosaur on the Prairie - The Twelve Days of Christmas in Alberta."
