Stephen Booth (born 1952) is an English crime novelist best known for his Derbyshire-set Cooper & Fry series featuring DC Ben Cooper and DS Diane Fry. A former journalist and sub-editor who worked for local newspapers and national titles, Booth published his first Cooper & Fry novel, Black Dog, in 2000 and has won multiple crime-writing awards including the Barry Award and the Crime Writers' Association 'Dagger in the Library.' He lives in Nottinghamshire, England.
