Sara Douglass

Sara Douglass (born Sara Warneke) was an Australian fantasy author and academic. She earned a PhD in early modern English history and worked as a lecturer before publishing her debut fantasy novels in the mid-1990s. Douglass became one of Australia’s best-known fantasy writers, authoring series such as The Axis Trilogy (Tencendor), The Wayfarer Redemption, The Crucible, and The Troy Game. Her work won multiple Aurealis Awards. She lived in Tasmania and wrote until her death in 2011.
