Frank M. Robinson
Frank Malcolm Robinson (August 9, 1926 – June 30, 2014) was an American author best known for science fiction and techno-thrillers. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War, he earned degrees from Beloit College and Northwestern University (journalism). Robinson wrote novels (including The Power and The Dark Beyond the Stars), collaborated on disaster and thriller novels such as The Glass Inferno (a source for the film The Towering Inferno), collected pulp-magazine art, and served as a speechwriter for Harvey Milk. He won a Lambda Literary Award and was active in genre and LGBT literary communities.
