Chris Hauty (born June 27, 1956) is an American screenwriter and novelist. Born in San Antonio, Texas and raised in Delaware, he is a Reed College graduate who worked for decades in Hollywood writing screenplays for major studios before publishing thrillers beginning with his debut novel Deep State. His Hayley Chill books blend espionage, political intrigue and action. He lives in California.
